Karen Rochelle Behrens

RAPID CITY - Karen Rochelle Behrens, 46, Hermosa, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at home.

Karen was born April 8, 1954, in Red Wing, Minn., to Donald "Red" and Rochelle (Boleen) Dodge.

She moved with her family from Red Wing to Rapid City in 1968.

Karen married Jack Behrens on May 10, 1980, at the family ranch.

She was a member of First Congregational Church of Rapid City.

She loved her grandchildren and her family, flower gardens, her quilts, jewelry and her little house on the prairie.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Behrens, Hermosa; two daughters, Amy Graves, and her husband, Jim, Rapid City, and Lacy Behrens, Hermosa; one son, Rory Behrens, Hermosa; two grandchildren, Alexandra Graves and Garret Graves, both of Rapid City; parents, Rochelle and Donald "Red" Dodge, Rapid City; one brother, Brian Dodge and his wife, Sally, Greeley, Colo.; two sisters, Susan Gilyard and her husband, Dusty, Traverse City, Mich., and Jeana Dodge, Denver; brother-in-law, Jay Behrens, Hermosa; sister-in-law, Jeanette Solberg and her husband, Dennis, Houston; mother-in-law, Pattie Behrens, Hermosa; seven nieces and nephews; numerous other relatives; and a wide circle of friends and neighbors.
